Thank you to all the volunteers who came to our Winter Woodland Management volunteering session on 25 January. We had a fanastic turnout, 16 adults and two children, and together we managed to liberate a cherry tree and some hawthorn bushes in the northern end of the park so they are now free from bramble, giving them room to grow. The trimmed bramble branches were then used to create habitat piles to support the local ecosystem.
We also cleared a large amount of litter from the surrounding area. Please drop in and admire the difference the next time you’re nearby!
See more photos of the event.
Note – we love bramble however, it can be aggressive and needs managing in Cheney Row Park.
