Recently the wildflower meadow patches were cut back for the end of the 2020 season.
This weekend a small team (with intrigued children coming to help) attended to the bare patches in the area. We raked the soil and re-seeded with a Barenburg mix of seeds (annuals, biennials and perennials) provided by the council. We repaired the signs.
It will be exciting to see what next year brings!
Please try to avoid walking (children playing) on the bare beds, if you can. This compresses the soil and makes it harder for plants to grow.
